  • Macmillan Coffee Morning Thursday 28th September

    Thu 28 Sep 2017

    Dear Parents,

You are invited to join us for a Coffee (and Cake) Morning on Thursday 28th September at 9.00 - 10:30am in the Lower School Hall. Please access the hall via the entrance on Mosspits Lane.

A piece of cake / biscuits and a cup of tea/coffee will be available for a suggested donation of £1.00. Any additional donations will be greatly appreciated; all proceeds will go to MacMillan Cancer Support Charity.

We would greatly appreciate any donations of cake. These can brought into school from Monday 25th until the afternoon of Wednesday 27th September.

Any remaining cake will be sold off to the children during Thursday afternoon’s playtime so please send in a small amount of money (no more than 50p) if you would like your child to participate in the cake sell-off.

Last year’s MacMillan Coffee Morning was a fantastic occasion and we raised lots of money towards cancer support. Please feel free to invite friends, neighbours and family. We hope to see you on Thursday 28th September 9:00 until 10:30am.

    Thank you,

    Miss Everitt

I write to inform you that this term's Open Evenings are on Monday 10th October 4:00 – 6:30pm and Thursday
    19th October 5:00 – 7:30pm.

There will be an appointment system in operation with parents meeting privately with their child's class teacher.
Exercise books will be available for viewing prior to your appointment outside your child's classroom.
Appointments will be for 5 -10 minutes. If you feel you will need longer than this to discuss your child's progress

Please can I remind you that the school has no child minding facilities available at open evenings and we ask that
you make your own arrangements to mind your child(ren).

Please complete the reply slip on letters sent out with pupils (copies attached in Letters also)  and return it to school by Monday 2nd October so that your child's teacher can make arrangements to meet with you.

  • New School Council To Be Announced Friday

Thu 21 Sep 2017 Mr Harbottle

The classes in Years 1 to 6 have been using Democracy to select new school council representatives.

Last week candidates, and there were many, stood up in front of their class and explained why they would make a good class councillor. Then, last Friday, children went to the Lower Hall to vote - they used the official polling station booths used by adults in local and national elections.

The votes have been counted and the new school council will be announced tomorrow in Celebration Assembly.

Well done to everyone who stood.
