Natasha Jonas - Olympic boxer in school!
An extra special visitor came to visit Year 2 and Year 3 in June. We were lucky enough to have Natasha Jonas, one of Liverpool's finest professional boxers, come and teach our pupils some of her best moves! It was an amazing afternoon and Natasha was brilliant with the children - they loved her inspiring talk and workshop.
About Natasha Jonas:
- In November 2009 she became the first female boxer to compete for GB Boxing.
- She made history in in May 2012, when she reached the semi-finals of the 2012 Women's World Boxing Championships to become the first ever female British boxer to qualify for an Olympic Games.
- She then went on to take the bronze medal and a place in the 2012 London Olympics back to Liverpool with her.
