We’re excited to have you join us for a fantastic year filled with learning, fun, and new adventures! On this page, you'll find everything you need to know to get started in Year 3 — from our team and daily essentials to PE and homework.

🏃 PE Information

PE Day: Every Monday

Second PE Day: To be confirmed – we’ll let you know as soon as possible

👉 Please ensure your child wears their PE kit on PE days:

Mosspits T-shirt or plain white T-shirt, Shorts/joggers, Trainers

All items should be clearly labelled

🎒 What to Bring Each Day

Make sure your child comes to school with:

Named water bottle – filled with water

Reading book and Reading Record

School bag – large enough for books and letters

Coat – appropriate for all weather

Optional: Personal Stationery

We provide all basic stationery, but children may bring their own pencil case with:

Pencil

Rubber

Sharpener

Colouring pencils (no felt tips please)

🔖 Please clearly label everything with your child’s name.

📚 Homework in Year 3

Homework is set every Friday via Class Dojo and should be returned by the following Wednesday, unless stated otherwise.

Weekly Expectations:

📖 Daily Reading – Aim to read a little every day

✍️ Spellings – Practise weekly spellings for the Wednesday test

➗ MyMaths – Online maths tasks (printed copies available if needed)

🎸 Times Tables Rockstars – Fun online times tables practice

🧠 Throughout the year, we’ll also set creative project work linked to our curriculum topics.
