Science Week 2017
SCIENCE WEEK in school, week beginning 6th March, was AMAZING! For 2017, we chose focus on Plants as our main theme, although there was much more to our week than plant life alone.
We had local organisation, as-creatives coming to school to deliver creative Science workshops, including the utterly fabulous Pirate Science! Pupils met Captain Morgan who taught them all kinds of weird and wonderful things about floating/sinking, density, upthrust, nutrition, skeletal structure and blood clotting. Look below for photos!
Thanks to one of our Year 3 Scientist parents, Year 6 linked up with the University of Liverpool to use their state-of-the-art microscopes with some fascinating outcomes.
As our main theme was plants, many classes visited the school allotment, planting the first of our Spring seeds; we love this time of year.
